TSC at Bartley Green
With all the open meetings cancelled and then the Plan Menai weekend, JC and I got to thinking of an away day somewhere.
Mike Harrold has kindly suggested to Bartley SC if they might accommodate some Trimpley Sailors.
I have arranged with them the 4th October as that was the Plas Menai weekend.
We would be very welcome, either to join in their races or cruise.
Those of you who do not know Bartley, its near Frankly close to Halesowen, a big open stretch of water, very few hills, quite different to Trimpley so should give our keen newcomers a tase of something different.
I think this will be open to any Trimpley Boat.
If a safety boat is required, we can use one of theirs, and Mike Harrold, who is a member there has offered to do a safety boat duty for us.
Bartley SC have suggested a contribution might be expected and this is a reasonable expectation.
Like Trimpley, we can use their toilets but not their changing rooms so you must be prepared to drive home wet (bring your own bin bag)
Their races on Sunday start at 11am and 1pm – type of race to suit either our own or join in with them
There is likely to be some organising to do on the day which will take time so I suggest we get there early
They want us to get back to them with numbers fairly soon so their committee can arrange for us.
Please circulate this amongst sailing members and can you let me know by Friday if you are interested.
If you have not got a boat or need a tow, lets us know. There may be ways and means of getting you there.
Kind regards
Simon
