Millennium Trophy 2020

Seventeen boats took part in the Millennium Trophy for 2020-an excellent turnout. It was a pity that the weather didn’t play it’s part.

Very light and variable winds made sailing difficult and many boats spent a considerable time navigating holes all across the reservoir or spending time sitting in them.. The adverse conditions didn’t hamper either Ian Davies who won on his Laser or Simon Fletcher and his crew John Cookson who took the GP14 honours. Mattie Chadderton won the Menagerie class on his new Topper and took the Top Junior trophy.

Despite the lack wind there was plenty of competitive sailing which all seemed to enjoy.
