Club Boats

Trimpley Sailing Club allows members to hire club boats for a day. The boats we offer are:

- x4 ILCAS, available with 7,6 & 4 Rig. The club's ILCA rigs are set for that boat. Please do not swap equipment around. 

- x3 GP14's - Double-handed fun often used in racing

- x6 Toppers - For our youth sailors and beginners.  A smaller (4.2) Rig is available for smaller sailors. (Please ask a club member/instructor to help you find this if unsure)

- x3 RS Visions - A very stable beginner and racing-friendly plastic dinghy mostly used in training courses, adult beginner sailors will be most familiar in this boat, as they would have learnt in it.

- x3 Optimists - The Optimist is one of the oldest dinghy designs for young sailors. We will tend to use these boats for our smallest sailors due to them being much smaller, more stable and having much smaller sails.

Please note:

- That club boats may be highly limited if training courses are taking place and sailing is allowed at the same time, especially for Toppers and RS Visions

- Club Boats attending coaching and beginners are recommended to use Mast Floats secured to the top of their sails/masts. To stop the boat from inverting
